The North Pole

Last night we took the kids to Dos Lagos to see Santa and go on the Horse Drawn Carriage.
I told Ashton we were going to see Santa, he got very excited and exclaimed

A: We are going all the way to the North Pole?
K: No- Santa is coming to our town so we don't have to go so far.
A: We have to take a train to the north pole!
K: Well, we are just driving our car because it's not that far. You need to put on your jacket.
A: Yea because it is cold at the North Pole!
K: There might be a horse there pulling a carriage
A: No, there will be reindeer there though.
K: What are you going to ask Santa for?
A: A rocket launcher and a thing that chops wood (an ax)

On the horse drawn carriage ride- can't decide if it was worth the hour wait?? But at least we got a decent family picture after several attempts- Thanks Ryan :)

And the kids surprisingly weren't afraid of Santa but liked him- Ashton wasn't even disappointed about the lack of snow, north pole or reindeer. He just wanted to keep playing there. I love Christmas time with kids- they really do make it magical!

Looks like a ton of fun with your cute little fam! How cool that Dos Lagos did all that for free! Glad you had fun at the North Pole!

Ashton is a funny kid. That was a nice night, although I agree the line was a little long!
