For weeks before our trip to Redding Ashton talked about how he wanted to go hunting with his Grandpa (who doesn't hunt by the way) So, when we arrived my Dad took Ashton into town and got him a BB gun. They practiced shooting milk jugs and cans and Ashton caught on quickly. He was knocking them all down right away.
After he got the hang of it he asked Grandpa when they were going to go hunting for Bears. My Dad had to explain that a bear probably wouldn't even feel a bb. So instead they went hunting for a woodpecker that constantly pecks at the siding of their house. Ashton was content with that.
