Personalities...

How different and unique each person is! My childrens' three distinct personalities alone are a testimony to me of each persons divine nature and individuality. Each person so unique and important to all those who are influenced by them in a way that no one else could influence them.. and all children of our Heavenly Father. I feel blessed to have these three special spirits in my life and to be able to raise them. The love I have for them is overwhelming, as is the responsibility I feel for teaching them, raising them, nurturing them. I feel blessed. Here's a little blurb on each child and what makes them... them.

Ashton- my Ash... Ashton- Scotty-Pants... Who doesn't like to be called Ash and will correct people by saying my name is not Ash it is Ashton Scott Thompson. This kid has been busy and a handful since the day he was born. Luckily for him he was equally cute and charming so I could put up with him. Everything about Ashton is intense. If he is sad, unhappy, excited or happy it is to the extreme. When he is sweet- he is extra sweet: saying the kindest things, cleaning up the whole house, helping his sisters. He was born with awesome coordination and good looks... we think. He was jumping off picnic tables at 18 months and was such a beautiful baby that he was always called a girl. He still amazes me with how quickly he picks up on physical things and I think he is still one good looking kid. He has always loved anything that has to do with technology- movies video games. Even as a baby he would sit and watch TV with us totally in awe. We thought this was normal, until we had two girls who could care less for television. He has amazing negotiating skills, and if you read the "1oo day post" you know that he can be quite the little manipulator. We've got to watch out for this one. He is too smart for his own good. He has been making up stories since he was two. Ashton's energy and passion for life makes every day an adventure. We love our little guy and despite what he says, he will always be my "Ash."

Tera- Tera lynn-ski-doo, Tera Bear-a, beautiful inside and out. I often look at this girl and am amazed at her beauty. Her gorgeous eyes, her perfect lips and her golden hair. She is gorgeous to me. From the day this one was born I could sense that she was an extra special and sensitive spirit. She, until recently, has wanted to stay little. She has always had a peaceful demeanor and can entertain herself for hours. She is emotional and to me is the epitome of innocence. My mom and I often say we love how Tera thinks. She has a "sweet little brain." She has always smiled and giggled easily though we find that now she can also whine and cry just as easily. She is an artist. I love to see the things Tera creates. She is very good at copying things she says or watches. She is good at imitating things she sees done and she always wants to help (as long as it's her idea.) She loves all things girly and seems to be a romantic at an early age. She says the sweetest prayers and gives the best hugs, kisses and cuddles. Tera makes me feel loved. Even if I have had a hard day, when I tuck her in at night and here her pray "Dear Heavenly Father. I love (wuv) my mom and my mom loves (woves) me" and then she gives me a hug and a kiss... I am cured of whatever has gone wrong that day. Her speech keeps her that much younger in my eyes... she is our little girl. As sweet as they come....

Then there's our little Mazz. Mazzi moo, Mazzi mooskers, Miss Mazzy Pants. This child is as fun as they come. She can always be found with a smile on her face and has more personality than I know what to do with. Mazzi has been extra easy going since the day she was born. She has always seemed extra observant and aware of her surroundings and has caught on to little things like talking, high fives, waving, and walking quickly because she is constantly watching others. One hug and kiss from this little one could melt any ones heart. She is such a snuggle bug and seems to love everyone. She is growing into a busy girl, always finding something to get in to or do. I love to watch her boogie around the house getting into trouble. She is a pretty good listener. If I tell her to put something back she usually does... unless it is cat food. I cannot keep her out of that. She is also sensitive... but I think she does it to get a reaction. She has the best pouty face I've seen. And this one is tough. For instance, in the last two days she has fallen down the stairs and off a chair in the garage onto concrete- but she is fine within a minute. Had that been Tera or Ash they would have cried for hours. She constantly entertains me. I could watch her and be amused with her for hours. She really is fun and silly already. I think she will be life of the party in her future and that she will get along with everyone. Not saying that you can tell everything there is about a person when they are a mere 14 months old.. but the other two I would have guessed they would be just like they are now at their ages. I love being a mother. I feel very blessed as I continue to feel guided and given the extra love and patience I need to deal with these three beautiful blessings. I love seeing them grow and watch their personalities develop even more.

They are all getting so big. Then I realize so are mine, YIKES...you ready for another one?! It really is so fun to see how different they are interesting fact Seth loved TV also at a young age and both my girls haven't been interested in it at all. Syd would rather paint or color than watch it.

I miss them so much! I love that you love being a mom. You have a great talent for seeing, knowing and appreicating them for who they are. They truly are all unique and I know they developed those great little personalities in the pre-existence. You and Matt are doing a great job of nuturing them and making them feel safe and loved. I am a proud Nana and Mom!!
